Hyunmin Choi is graduated from the Department of Life science at Hanyang University and joined the Cellular Immunology Labatory as a Ph.D. course student in 2025. He is interested in Neuroimmune interaction between olfactory neurons and nasal immune cells in neuro-inflammatory diseases.

Siwon Park graduated from the Department of Biosciences and Bioinformatics at Myongji University in 2025 and joined the Cell Immunology Laboratory as a master's course in the same year.

She is interested in and currently studying clinical compound-based drug repositioning for autoimmune diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Sera Lee graduated from the Department of Life Science at Hanyang University in 2024 and joined the Cellular Immunology Laboratory at Hanyang University in the latter half of the same year as an integrated master’s and doctoral program student. She is interested in studying strategies to regulate bystander responses in pulmonary fibrosis mediated by IL-27.

Chaeyeon Jang graduated from the Department of Life Science at Hanyang University in 2024 and subsequently joined the M.S. program in the Cellular Immunology Lab. Her current research focuses on distinguishing between bystander-activated CD4⁺ T cells and antigen-specific CD4⁺ T cells using single-cell RNA sequencing.

Tae-Hyeon Kim graduated from the Dankook university with BS (College of Science & Technology – Life Science Major) in 2024. He joined the cellular immulology lab for MS program at Hanyang University. He is interested in utilizing Th17 plasticity to induce the conversion of Th17 cells into Treg cells by using a chemical library, with the aim of developing a therapeutic approach for multiple sclerosis.

Hyeon-Jeong Kim graduated from Hanyang University in Life Science in 2022. She joined the cellular immunology lab for MS program at Hanyang University. She is interested in the regulation and function of cytokine and transcription factors associated with autoimmune disease and developing a therapeutic drug for autoimmune disease.

Bum Joon Kim graduated from Hanyang University and earned a bachelor’s degree in Life science. Fascinated by the sophisticated immune system, he joined the lab as an integrated Ph.D. student in 2023. He has a great interest in Tissue Tregs, especially Brain Tregs. He is currently establishing a model for Skin resident CD4 T cells.

Young-Mi Shin got a bachelor’s degree in Life Science from Hanyang University and joined the cellular immunology lab as a Ph.D. course student in 2022. She is interested in CTLA-4 signaling domain and is studying the development of novel therapeutic drugs that can treat autoimmune diseases or tumors by regulating T cells through CTLA-4.

Sookyung Cho is Ph.D. course students in the cellular immunology lab in the Department of Life Science at Hanyang University. She got bachelor’s degree in Life Science from Hanyang University in 2022. She is interested in potential role of naïve CD4+ T cells in trained immunity, as well as their reactions to secondary challenges such as infection or autoimmune disease.

Dr. Je-Min Choi is a tenured professor and a member of Y-KAST who graduated Yonsei University for BS, MS, and PhD and trained for his postdoc at Yale University. He has published about 40 papers in the field of T cell immunology and immunotherapy. He is recently running two major grants for bystander T cell study in autoimmune disease and biologic drug development to treat multiple sclerosis. Since 2010 at Hanyang University, there are 6 PhD and 11 MS who completed graduate program under his guidance.

Thesis title; Ligand-independent regulation of T cell functions by CTLA-4 signaling domain peptide in autoimmune neuroinflammatory disease

Gil-Ran Kim graduated from Seoul Women's University with BS (Bio & Environmental Technology) and joined the graduate program at Hanyang University in 2017. She received her Ph.D. on Aug 2022 with the thesis work on inducing regulatory T cells in vivo using the CTLA-4 signaling peptide for the treatment of autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow with the Sejong Science Fellowship Program.

Thesis title; The role of cytokine-dependent bystander-activated memory-phenotype CD4 T cells in autoimmune disease and pulmonary fibrosis

Min-Ji Cho is currently a Ph.D. student in the Lab of Cellular Immunology in the Department of Life Science at Hanyang University. Min-Ji holds a bachelor's degree in Life Science from Hanyang University where she entered in 2015 and graduated in 2019. She is currently conducting research about the role of memory-phenotype CD4+ T cells in autoimmune diseases and identifying their characteristics by single cell RNA sequencing.

Kyung-Ho Nam graduated from Konkuk University for Biological Sciences 2019 and joined the PhD graduate program at Je-Min Choi’s lab in Hanyang University in 2020. He is interested in CTLA-4 signaling peptide study regarding Tfh functions and lupus, atopic dermatitis, multiple sclerosis, etc.

Jae-Won Yoon got bachelor’s degree in Life Science from Hanyang University in 2020 and joined as a Ph.D course student in the lab of cellular immunology at the same university. She is interested in function of antigen-independent (bystander) CD4 T cells, especially in the context of tumor microenvironment.

Soo Jin Jung joined to Dr. Choi's lab from 2015 as a Lab Manager to work regarding grant budgets and basic reagent supply as well as in charge of lab safety regulation.
